International Case Studies

To demonstrate ways in which ICT and selected Internet resources can be incorporated into science teaching, a number of case studies have been selected to illustrate the practical teaching and learning activities used by others.

How do websites help students to learn and the teacher to teach? Drawing on the experience of teaching Biology and Science in a laptop school this short account will outline ways of successfully incorporating websites into lessons.

The Learning Classroom: Theory into Practice

The case studies follow science teachers as they work to improve one aspect of their teaching. Each case follows a single teacher over the course of a year. This includes the teacher's background and the problem he or she chooses to address, the chosen approach and implementation, and the outcome with assessment by the teacher and his or her advisor.

Case studies are free to view although you will need to register. Uses Real Player, which can be download for free from Real Player web site.

If you would like to add your own case study to this section you can email the details to starscience@londonmet.ac.uk and it will be added to the site.
